5e Treasure Hoard Generator
Pick the Challenge Rating band of the creature whose hoard you're rolling for. Click Roll hoard to roll coins (per the CR band table) plus a d100 for gems, art objects, and magic items using the open-license 5.1 SRD hoard tables.

How the hoard tables work
The 5.1 SRD groups creatures into four CR bands (0–4, 5–10, 11–16, 17+). Each band has a fixed coin roll plus a single d100 roll that looks up gems / art objects of various unit values and a count of magic items from one of the lettered tables (A through I, where A is mostly common items and I is mostly very rare).
We do the rolls in the browser — coins per the band's formula, then one d100 that resolves to a row in that band's table. The magic-item rolls show the table letter and rarity tier; pick a fitting item from the SRD items list or roll on the full DMG table if you have it.
Why low rolls feel underwhelming
The bottom 1–6 rows of every band give coins only — that's intentional. The DMG bakes in variance so not every encounter is a loot piñata. If your group is grumbling, run two hoards back to back, or hand-pick a magic item from the appropriate table rather than rolling.
