5e Initiative Tracker
Add combatants with an initiative bonus and max HP. Initiative auto-rolls (1d20 + bonus) when you add them, or override it manually. Click Next turn to step through rounds; use ± or the −5 / −10 shortcuts to damage and heal.
Add combatant
How it works
State lives in your browser tab — nothing leaves the page. When you add a combatant, we roll 1d20 and add their bonus to set initiative. Combatants are sorted highest-first; ties resolve by initiative bonus, then alphabetically by name (you can override ties by editing the initiative number directly when you add).
Next turn advances to the next combatant in the order. When it loops back to the top of the list, the round counter advances by one. Reset HP + round restores everyone to full HP and sets round back to 1 without removing combatants.
What this doesn't do (and Dungeon Diary does)
Conditions tracking, monster stat blocks, attack/damage rolls, spell-slot tracking, real-time sync with players, encounter templating, and persistence across sessions are all things this tracker won't do. They're all built into Dungeon Diary's combat tracker. Try the demo (no signup) — Ravenmoor Reach has an encounter loaded.
Tip: pick monsters first
Need stat blocks to drop in? Open the SRD monster reference in another tab. Each monster lists its Dex modifier (which is what the initiative bonus is for non-special creatures) so you can wire up encounter rosters fast.
